Embroidery LOVE

I can't even say how much I love having an embroidery machine ~
it is a dream come true!!
(And gee-whiz had I known they were so affordable, I would have had one much sooner!)
I'm having way more fun than I ever even imagined!!  I think embroidery is just beautiful ~ and wow the designs ~ so many gorgeous ones!!!  It's quite addicting and I'm quickly running out of thingsI've embroidered scarves, jackets, lots of shirts, sweaters (ours & the dogs:), hats, towels, most of the boys pjs and even their boxers! lol  My poor guys, it's quite amusing to them and they've even joked that if they sit still too long, I just might embroider them!:))  I'll have to start sewing things just for that reason or go door-to-door asking neighbors if they need anything done?!!:)
I adore the intricate Easter egg (found here), I think it's so pretty and it's free!!!
So many pretty designs, mostly found on Pinterest and Etsy.

If anyone has any great sites and/or favorite designs
or wants to share a project you've done,
I'd love to know about it!!

Wow -- very cool! Did you teach yourself? I bought a used machine about a year ago and got totally confused by the instructions, so haven't tried anything at all! Any tips would be most appreciated!

Fun, fun, fun! Love all the things you've monogramed! Great sampling of fonts and designs, I’m saving this for later. I’m also bookmarking the Easter egg for a later date. Thanks for sharing. ;) Santa brought me an embroidery machine this year too! I think I've stitched, monogrammed, or embellished {or threatened to} everything is sight. Yep, even my husband’s boxers! Is it wrong that I want to go shopping just so I have a few new victims? :)

Happy monogramming ~

So pretty! You'll have to tell us which brand/machine you got. I used to have one for my classroom when I taught school, many years ago, and I loved it! But, it was very expensive and I would like to find a less expensive alternative!

I've been dying for an embroidery machine. What kind did you get? It is so difficult to sift through the online reviews because I don't know anything about them.

I have always loved embroidery, and I think it was so special when they did it by hand back in the old days. It shows so much detail and talent. I'm so glad you got a machine to do all your creative projects.

Oh Lori .. you know how much I LOVE a monogram. I also did monogram boxers for all my guys .. well, I of course didn't do it :(. Sooo wish I had a machine and knew how to work it. You really should start a little business. We have a local gal that does it - she does all our monogramming at Lilly too.

Oh you're killing me Lori!!!! You KNOW that will be on our list next year. I am still trying to get the hang on the sewing machine and am sure that will takes years but know I want an embroidery machine too! LOVE all that you have done. I would be just like you doing everything in sight too:)

Happy New Year!!! K

P.S. Kate and I made pillows and we are making doll bedding. I will post about it this week.

I would love to have an embroidery machine too!! Please share which one you bought! I love monograms, and luckily, so do 2 of my 3 children! I could go crazy with a machine of my own!

So... looking above... the newest little "A" baby will be RSA? Can't wait!!

Hi Lori... I had to laugh at your comment on my blog... if you only knew how rotten our year was this last year, I don't think anyone would want to read about it :( I broke my leg, and tore all the ligaments in my knee. So after surgery, being totally immobile with my leg in a machine , then crutches for months, I am finally coming up for air. And none of that was the worst part. I can't even begin to sum up 2012 . Maybe blogging would be therapeutic. At the very least, I wish I had taken a few photos. I hope the begin again. I am however, very excited that it is a new year, and so looking forward to following your journey to your new little one. So exciting! In our experience, even better than we anticipated! Love all of your creative projects. One of my goals this year is to find more creativ outlets.

Wish I were your neighbor!! Something so sweet about seeing the name of your love embroidered, isn't there?

Happy New Year!

Blessings,
Jenn
