Twenty Years Ago Today

I met my sweetie twenty years ago today ~
we met up at the Long Wharf in Boston for a harbor cruise on a blind date ~
we had a great time and couldn't wait to see each other again!:)
Boarding the boat for the harbor cruise ~ the day we met!
Boston Long Wharf, May 30, 1992

He's talkative ~ I'm quiet
He was a city boy ~ I was a country girl
He's from a small family ~ I'm from a big one

He's quick to act w/o over-thinking ~
I over-think w/o acting:)

He's crazy and doesn't care what others think ~
I care too much what others think which is crazy

He's generous and kind and trusting and will literally give the shirt off his back ~
he helps me with these and I am a better person because of him.
I'm so thankful for him in my life and the journey we're on
and look forward to another twenty together!
"You're the type of boy
I'd make a sandwich for."
I saw this quote awhile back and it made me think of my sweetie! lol
These pictures make me smile, we look SO young!:)
Happy 20 years Sweetheart!!xo

That is so special that you have a photo from the day you met. I don't think most people do. And that's so awesome that you met on a blind date! I'll bet whoever set you up is pretty proud of the outcome :)

Lori, That is such a sweet post! I know how time consuming it is to get those old pictures scanned and on a post like it. I've never gone back and done that... one of these days! How neat to celelbrate the "meeting" anniversary. And how awesome that you met on a blind date! I'd guess you could say the blind date was a hit! Enjoy your special day together. ~tara

This is such a sweet post, and do you look gorgeous or what? You both make such a cute couple. I laughed when I read some of the things you said about him because me and my husband are soooo different, yet alike in many ways too. Happy Anniversary, my sweet friend. I see your son in you in that last picture.

Adam and I will celebrate our 12 year wedding anniversary this weekend but we've been dating for 20 years this November! I might have to scrounge around for some old high school/college photos.. if I can handle the hair/humility!

Happy Anniversary! I love these "vintage" photos! I think it is so sweet that you have a photo of the actual blind date that you were on! Hope you are settling in nicely to your new home! I would do anything to be able to walk to the beach every day! Mark just had back surgery on his birthday (thurs) and friday was Myah's 7th birthday! My bro in law gets married this week! I am running around like a chicken with my head off! Saw the posting from CCAA! You are getting close my friend!

The trip down memory lane was so sweet! You look even more beautiful twenty years later ~ a perk of being comfortable with who we are. Wishing you both many more wonderful moments together.

Awe where does the time go! I thought of you the other day as I made a banner with the letters you sent me. So fun I always think of you when I make them. I hope you are doing well. It looks like you had a big move lately. The beach is beautiful!

Wow, Lori Congrats on twenty years! So sweet to see all of the old photos.

I didn't realize you all had Italian Greyhounds? They are beautiful. We have thought about getting one many times over the past few years. Chestnut would love it. He adores all animals like his Mom. He.

I'm still lovin' your pins! Amazing job! :-)

Happy 20 years!!! Love the photos of you guys.... by the way, you both still look young!!!

I am so behind in blogging and just getting caught up on your posts. I am so far behind I didn't realize that you moved. It was so nice reading through your posts... felt like I was reading a favorite magazine or book.

The market you posted about looks fabulous... that homemade cheese made me hungry just looking at the picture. Love all of the beautiful beach photos!

Hope you guys have a wonderful summer!!!

You guys are too cute and I love everything you wrote! I know too well the hard work that goes into marriage (along with the laughter and fun) so 20 years is quite an accomplishment! So happy for you. xo
