On the Third Day of Crafting {Glitter Pine-cones}
I think pine-cones are beautiful just as they are ~ I have a garland of them draping our fireplace mantle. Add some snowy white and a little bit of glitter and they're stunning!
This is a fairly easy craft to do, requires only a few simple items
and is one kids enjoy doing!
Here is what you'll need ~
pine-cones
spray paint
(I used silver and white)
glitter
small paper bag
~ Working outside or in a well-ventilated area,
have the pine-cones laid out to be painted
atop paper or paint cloth.
~ Have some glitter in a small paper bag
to shake the painted pine-cone in.
Spray a pine-cone, or a few if they're small,
and then toss into the bag of glitter and shake to cover.
Mine were small so I painted 3-5 at a time ~ you do have to work quickly since most spray paints dry fast, making sure to cover all sides and then into bag before drying.
Another option is to first paint all the pine-cones
and then use spray glue before dropping into bag.
This is a great craft for kids to help with!
(It can be a bit messy with having to hold the pine-cone
and turning it, etc, so gloves are always an option)
Of course there's always the au naturel frosted-look
of just dipping in glue and sprinkling with glitter ~
most of us have a few of those sparkly gems
brought home from kindergarten classes,
I know I do and I adore them! :)

ornaments big and bright,
and all these sparkling icicles
and twirling balls of white!"

They came out great. I may tackle this project this weekend. I have some pine cones I could glitter up!!
This is what we are doing for our tree this year too.....thank you for the pine cones. I was going to dip mine in leftover white latex pant but now I think we'll spray paint:)
Yours are beautiful!!!!
I love pine cones too. My husband's parents live in the mountains, and pine cones always remind me of them. Those frosted glittery ones are so pretty. Looks like you've been busy crafting.
