On the Eighth Day of Crafting {Stamped Cookies}
I saw gorgeous stamped cookies awhile back and thought they were so creative and unique, and wanted to give it a try. As usual I didn't really know what I was doing but gave it a whirl anyway ~ they didn't turn out anywhere near as lovely as these, but with a little more effort and some practice, I think they could be absolutely darling!
How pretty to present a tray of these at a holiday party, as a party favor or for a special birthday! With the abundance of beautiful stamps available, the creative options are endless ~ names, monograms, sayings...
Apparently there are edible stamp pads, which would be ideal for this project. I however, just spread a thin layer of food coloring gel on a plate for dipping my stamp into, and then stamped onto the cookie. Just as with paper, it must be level otherwise the image won't transfer. I touched up any imperfections (I had a lot:) with my edible Wilton Writing pens. Once you have the right tools and some yummy fondant-frosted cookies, these wouldn't be hard at all and I think definitely worth the effort!
