Pretzel Project
We finished up our schoolwork today and are ready to start our long winter break!
so we're gonna give Teaching Textbooks a go, which we're very excited about.
Today we finished our study on Native Americans ~ we snacked on dried turkey
and fruits and talked about the arrowheads that the boys each picked out at the
museum last week. We built "thatched-roof log cabins" for our project,
which we finally completed. The boys LOVED working on this particular craft,
mostly for the fact that they could eat the supplies. :)
Craft found here ~
(we used a stiff mixture of powder sugar, meringue powder
and water instead of peanut butter, which worked great
and we also used half-gallon cartons instead of the small size)
Our finished project!
Elliot is working on borrowing/carrying in math and doing well. He likes
problem solving and generally just enjoys math and also being quizzed
with vocabulary words. We weren't thrilled with Ethan's math program,so we're gonna give Teaching Textbooks a go, which we're very excited about.

Tonight the boys are having their best buddies over for a sleepover
and tomorrow is the start of our Thanksgiving preparations!

Just catching up here .. you AMAZE me Lori with all your projects and outings with your boys!! Some how my life with boys has been all about sports and not much time for much else. Love that you are able to share in these learning experiences.
